9-Eyed Alien
Photoshop
November 2007

This is my family's holiday card for 2007.

Line art was done in pencil, and then the colors were painted in Photoshop in a handful of hours: Most of the alien was painted with a hard round brush, while the sky and rocket-jets were painted with a custom brush made from the "render clouds" filter - it's the same brush I use to render clouds in more terrestrial paintings.

(references were used, but I've been asked by the Planetary Defense Council not to show them around. Sorry!)
